We wanted to help the girls understand the importance of Easter and Christ's resurrection more this year so we started last Sunday and every night we read about some of the things Christ did before His resurrection and after we read we would draw a picture of what we read. I just wanted to share some of those drawings.
This is a picture Megan drew of Jesus cleansing the temple and this second one Hallie drew of Christs triumphal entrance into Jerusalem.
Megan and Hallie drew these pictures of Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane.

I wish I had thought about doing this. I have been stressing the meaning of Easter but I didn't even think about reading stories about Jesus' life to them. You are such a great mother and a good example to me. I guess it's never too late to start telling those stories now.
It is wonderful to see how well the girls have seen the concept. Both of them are so artistic. What talent. Way to go on teaching the children!

I love this idea! I struggled with it, and as I went to bed last night, felt disappointed that the real meaning of Easter was lost in all the "fluffy" activities. I might have to borrow this idea. Thanks for sharing!
I love it. The pure simplicity of the message is so evident in their pictures. What a great idea.
