"It's not funny"

Campbell is not feeling well (he has a nasty case of pneumonia) which probably explains the conversation he had today with the nurse at the pediatricians office.

Nurse: "Hey big guy, why don't you jump up on here and we'll see how much you weigh."

Campbell (looking very irritated): "Snot funny"

Nurse (trying not to giggle): "Campbell does your throat hurt today?"

Campbell: "Snot Funny!"

Nurse: "Oh no, a sore throat is not funny (giggle, giggle). Can you jump up here so I can take your temperature Campbell?"

Campbell: "No, it's not funny!"

At this point the nurse and I were both turning our back towards Campbell and giggling... he was not amused.

Apparently NOTHING at the pediatricians office is remotely funny... according to Campbell anyway.

Recent quotes from Campbell

-"Mommmmmmyyy, my tummy urts and I got owie (pointing to his scratched up knee)...
I'm fallen apart."

-Campbell asked me where "Daddy" was and I told him he was upstairs watching TV. He got all excited and said, " Daddy watching Wonder Pets! He need BIG popcorn!"

-Campbell has shown some interest in using the toilet. Sometimes I'll put him on the toilet and he will try to go but when nothing happens he gets discouraged and shakes his head and just keeps saying "It's not working."

A visit from Melissa and Avery

Wow, the last few months have been CRAZY! We have a lot of catching up to do.
September was such a fun month!
Melissa and little Avery came to Kentucky to visit for almost 3 WEEKS!
As always, the time FLEW by!
(sorry about the crazy pictures, blogger wouldn't let me move them into the right order)

Davis and Avery are growing so fast and seemed to enjoy having each other around. We even caught then holding hands a few times... too cute.

We took a few pictures but mostly we crafted like maniacs.
(If you want to see some of the projects we did just check out nannygoat, we still have quite a few projects to post).

You KNOW we had to make a trip up to the GAP clearance center near Cinci.
It's tradition (Trevor doesn't love this tradition).

Bath time.

When they are teenagers we will pull this picture out. heehee

Melissa has been out to Kentucky 5 times since we moved here just over 2 years ago. We have enjoyed every visit and no matter how long she stays I wish she could stay a little longer. I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful sister who is also my dearest friend.

Love you Melis and Avery, can't wait for our next visit!

Davis at 9 Months

Yes, I am over a month late on this post. Davis turned 9 months old on Sept. 2nd and we took him in for his well-baby check.
He weighed 22lbs 12 oz (80%) and was 29 1/2 inches tall (85%).

He is cruising all over the place and clicks his tongue to call for our dog.
Davis claps his hands and waves and is learning some new sign-language.
He is still so very ticklish and lets out an adorable belly laugh if you get his super ticklish spots.
Davis is so good natured and smiles at everybody.
He is such a pleasant and easy baby (if there is such a thing).
Davis puts up with lots of kisses from mom and a little TOO-big-hugs from Campbell (Davis usually ends up in a heap on the floor crying after one of Campbell's big hugs). The kids adore him and are so helpful with him.
Little Davis lights up our lives. We just love our little man.
