I made the mistake of cheering Campbell on when he picked up a wet diaper, I had just taken off him, and headed to the garbage then threw it in. What a brilliant child I have!... or so I thought.
Well, Campbell loved my reaction and apparently doesn't yet know the difference between garbage and non-garbage items because he was expecting the same reaction when he later proudly dumped a glass bowl in the trash can. I have since gone to throw something away and found silverware, cups, toys, books, bowls, and shoes inside the garbage and recently a few things have come up missing including my prescription sunglasses!
My brilliant little boy. Ugh.

Imagine the joy when he figures out the difference:). But, by then he won't be nearly so interested in doing it anymore :(.
He's so darn cute you can't be mad at him, you just have to do a better job of hiding things for a while.
Love, Dad
Its good to know that positive feedback is so important to him. You'll just have to be the brilliant one and know how to use it for good. He is such a doll I think often of his face as he watched his Dad's radio controlled airplane. It makes me smile and miss him even more.
Love,
Mom
How funny is that, only because I am not the one in your shoe's. Hunter went through the same thing and one day I was looking and looking for my car key and all of a sudden I thought of the garbage and there they were. Hide your keys, it took me forever to figure that one out:)
Hooray for positive reinforcement :) That is seriously hilarious!
I had a friend who found money in the trash one day! What made her sick, was that she didn't know how long or how much money her daughter had been taking and putting in the trash! At least you caught it early.
