kid quotes

63 degrees today. Mmmmm, felt good.

A few quotes while I still remember them.

Davis: "Mom, you're a little stink!" (Davis is often called a "little stinker" when he is getting into trouble)

I was trying to get Campbell away from the girls and so I asked him to come downstairs with me so "I could have a friend". He smiled and walked right up to me and asked, "Mom, you need a honey with you?"
Yep Cam, come be my honey... honey. ;)

Campbell quotes

I was cleaning out Campbell's ears the other day and when Cam looked at the dirty q-tip he say, "Oh, it's cheese". lol -YUCK

Yesterday we took the kids for some half-priced drinks at Sonic. When we left I asked, "Does anyone need to say some magic words?" hint, hint
The girls and their friend immediately said, "Thank you!" and from Campbell's seat we heard, "Abracadabra!".

Campbell says...

(Campbell weighs 1lb more than Davis and they are 21 months apart)

**Yesterday we officially took Campbell out of the crib (yes, he is almost 3 and he was still in a crib) and put him on a mattress on the floor (no, the poor kid does not have a bed because we don't want to have to move it, and because I want to buy the boys bunk beds which we really don't want to have to move). Anyway, he loved sleeping on the floor in his "new bed" (aka mattress on the floor). He was exhausted and went right to sleep but then around 1AM he climbed... er... rolled out of bed and walked out to the balcony where he announced to the entire house in his loudest voice, "I wake up! Hey errybody, I wake up!"

**We were in the car this morning when out of nowhere
Campbell said, "I cant' see the Holy Ghost. I can't see the Holy Ghost mommy!"

** Campbell came up to me sticking his finger out and said,
"Mommy, Tinkerbelle scratched my finger."
I said, "Oh no, are you okay?"
He said, "Yes... Tinkerbelle said sorry."

Campbell Says

" Megan's gunna be a grandfawder and I'm gunna be a mommy." Megan tried to explain to him that that was not possible but he was very insistent.

In the back seat- "We're going SUPERfast! Are we winning mommy? Are we winning the race?"

Standing on the back of the couch (big no no) with one arm reaching up the sky, "To the Rescue!"

"It's not funny"

Campbell is not feeling well (he has a nasty case of pneumonia) which probably explains the conversation he had today with the nurse at the pediatricians office.

Nurse: "Hey big guy, why don't you jump up on here and we'll see how much you weigh."

Campbell (looking very irritated): "Snot funny"

Nurse (trying not to giggle): "Campbell does your throat hurt today?"

Campbell: "Snot Funny!"

Nurse: "Oh no, a sore throat is not funny (giggle, giggle). Can you jump up here so I can take your temperature Campbell?"

Campbell: "No, it's not funny!"

At this point the nurse and I were both turning our back towards Campbell and giggling... he was not amused.

Apparently NOTHING at the pediatricians office is remotely funny... according to Campbell anyway.

Recent quotes from Campbell

-"Mommmmmmyyy, my tummy urts and I got owie (pointing to his scratched up knee)...
I'm fallen apart."

-Campbell asked me where "Daddy" was and I told him he was upstairs watching TV. He got all excited and said, " Daddy watching Wonder Pets! He need BIG popcorn!"

-Campbell has shown some interest in using the toilet. Sometimes I'll put him on the toilet and he will try to go but when nothing happens he gets discouraged and shakes his head and just keeps saying "It's not working."

Quotes from this week

Megan- "Nobody come by the bathroom. I'm going to the bathroom and I don't want anyone to come by the bathroom door because... I'm going to be talking to myself."

I was recently released from the YW and now I'm in the primary. Last week we were talking about recognizing Satan's influence and one of the boys raised their hand and said,
" Um, um, when I was at my aunt's house I looked out the window and something red went Zooooom by the window and I think it was Satan...... or the Easter Bunny."

And finally, a sweet moment.
After sending Megan to time out for the 2nd time in 15 minutes I hung my head in frustration and Hallie came up to me and hugged me and said, "I bet it's really hard to be a mom when your kids aren't listening." You said it sister.

kids quotes

***Megan found a bug and was trying to decide if it was a baby cricket or a "yucky bug". If it was a "yucky bug" she would squish it but if it was a baby cricket she would let it live. She kept asking me, "What is it mom? What is it?" I told her over and over again that I couldn't tell. Finally in her frustration she said, "Mom, just read it's nametag!"

***Today I asked Megan, "Did you like the muffin I made you?" She said, "No. I didn't like the muffin... but I still like you, even though you made that muffin."

***I was going through my jeans, trying them on to see if any of them fit (still trying to get into my pre-Campbell jeans) and Megan walked in the room. She immediately giggled, pointed to my muffin top (stomach bulging out over the jeans), and said, "mom, that's funny, you are bigger than your pants are!" So young, so innocent.

***Megan- "Campbell, is that binky your best friend? I think that binky is your very best friend." Poor Campbell, I think he needs some new friends.

Kid Quotes

*Megan, Campbell, and I were home together and Campbell had just eaten. No surprise, Campbell burped and white chunky spit-up came out. I grabbed a paper towel and started cleaning up. Megan quietly watched me and then said, "Mom, you are so brave! You are so brave to do that." ---Thanks Megan.

*When we told the girls we were moving to kentucky several months ago one of the first things Hallie said was, "Do they speak Chinese there? Because I don't know Chinese."
