Spring Break fun on Whidbey Island

We spent our Spring Break on the beautiful Whidbey Island this year. It's just Northwest of Seattle and it is beautiful there. Trevor and I just love the Oregon/ Washington coast. It is so different from the California or Florida coast with the thick green forests on the edge of the sandy/stony beaches. It really is breathtaking.
We stayed in an awesome 3 bedroom house in downtown Coupeville
with this view out our front window...

The kids discovered the binoculars and enjoyed spying on our neighbors. ;)
Our first day on the island we went to Ft Casey to check out the remains of the military base there and the beautiful lighthouse.

We spent hours everyday on different beaches all over the island.

This dog was drawn to Trevor, he kept bringing him driftwood to play fetch. Some of the sticks were 5ft long. I had to laugh... Trevor couldn't get rid of him and the owner seemed to be oblivious for quite awhile.

The kids LOVED combing the beaches for treasures. Megan especially loves to collect shells and pretty rocks. She came home with 2 bags full!!

Deception Pass was our favorite beach. It was so beautiful and peaceful there.

We went on some fun hikes and ran into some HUGE slugs.

We were sitting in the house one day when I heard a helicopter and it kept getting closer and closer. I finally grabbed Davis and ran outside so we could see it and was shocked when it landed in our yard!!! Seriously, right in the grass like it was normal or something. It turns our the pilot knew the guy that owns the rental and just stopped in to say hi to him.
Davis cried and cried when it flew away.

On the way home we stopped to see the daffodils in Mount Vernon. Pretty.

What a great spring break!!!

Yep, the rumors are true

We are expecting baby #5 in October.

I'm 15weeks and still somewhat in denial.

Maybe it will feel real when we get an ultrasound in a few weeks...

or when I leave the hospital with a baby in my arms.

Either way I am tired, forgetful, and already in maternity clothes, HELLO?!

Trevor and Hallie's birthdays

Trevor celebrated his 33rd birthday in March and Hallie turned 10 this year. She had a swimming party and those pictures are on a different camera so I will post them soon.

March 2011 random pics and Melissa's visit

Melissa, Avery, and Jane came to visit us in March. Davis could NOT get enough of "beebee jane". She was the first thing he wanted in the morning ("I hold beebee jane?") and all day long("where's beebee jane?"). Jane was a good sport even when she didn't love all the attention from Davis.

Hallie and Megan had "Crazy hair day" so we got them looking crazy.

These 3 kiddos had a ball together. They came up with lots of "fun" ideas. Trouble...

Speaking of trouble, Melissa found this note taped to my back one night. It says "I'm the one who gives Megan gross food."

We took a few pictures of Jane. She is a little angel baby.

We had a great time with Melis and the girls (as always). The time went WAY too fast!!!!

Dearest Davis

This little boy melts my heart. I took these pictures of him back in February. I swear he gets cuter everyday.

They're Tumbling our way

Tumbleweeds... I don't like them.

After every good wind storm (and we've had some GOOD ones) we can't get into our backyard gate because it is blocked by the darn pokey tumbleweeds.

I really don't like them.

(Yes, we just throw them into the field behind us... don't tell. We tried putting them in our garbage can but we could only fit 2 and we have 200ish ;0).

Darn things.

Fun at the park.

It was windy yesterday. Seriously! But we decided to brave it.

My sweet boy

Davis loves to climb up onto our tall stools and sit by Campbell at the kitchen bar but recently he fell a few times and so now we put a chair behind him to catch him if he falls.
He is such a sweet little boy and today when I sat up the the bar he looked at me like he was concerned then he climbed down from his stool and walked over to the kitchen table and got a chair and pushed it up behind me. He climbed back up onto his stool and said to me, "You don't fall mom. You don't bonk your head."
I'm so lucky to have little Davis looking out for me.
