The first 2 weeks of Carson's life

Carson is such a sweet baby. I just wanted to share some random pictures of his first 2 weeks.

Hallie and Megan thought it would be fun to pull him around the house on a snow sled. He is their real live baby doll to play with. :) The girls have been so helpful! What would I do without them?!! He loves taking baths.

Campbell and Davis ADORE Carson. Every morning Davis runs in our room yelling, "Where's baby brother?!!" As soon as he locates him he smothers Carson with hugs and kisses and says, "I love you sooooo much baby!" It is such a sweet way to wake up in the morning. I hope he always feels that way about his little brother.

Campbell also loves Carson but he is more "cool" about it. When he thinks no one is looking he will kiss him otherwise he talks to him and covers him with blankets and gives him toys to play with.

I sure love these boys.

Carson's 1st bath

The first bath is always a big deal.

The whole family was in the bathroom to witness the milestone.

Carson LOVED the warm water.

Clean naked babies are so cute. :)

Any day now...

I'm due with baby #5 in 2 days! I can't believe it.
Right now I'm waiting for a call that could come at anytime in the next 3 days telling me to come to the hospital to be induced.
I thought it might be a good time to sit (it is ALWAYS a good time to sit when you are 9 months prego!) and share some of my thoughts for the family record.
I remember when Trevor and I were dating and we discussed how many children we wanted. We both said 5. Trev came from a family of 5 kids and so did I so I guess it just made sense. Once we started having children however we questioned our original plan! Five kids is WAY too many, we thought. We could barely handle the 1, 2, 3, 4 we had. And yet, after I had Davis I knew there was one more and so here we are.
This pregnancy has been the most uncomfortable by far. My body is done. But, I've tried to enjoy it, especially feeling the baby move... there is nothing like it.
I'm so nervous to have newborn again. Newborns are wonderful but they are hard. I like sleep and I get ornery when I don't get that sleep.
I also like feeling that warm little body curling up on my chest with their super soft skin and hair and smelling that yummy baby smell... newborns are wonderful.
How did I get so lucky?! Five babies of my own. I don't deserve them. They are so much better than I am.
I can't wait to see this little man... He will be loved... he already is.
PS We STILL have no name for this baby. Please share your ideas... pretty please.

Yep, the rumors are true

We are expecting baby #5 in October.

I'm 15weeks and still somewhat in denial.

Maybe it will feel real when we get an ultrasound in a few weeks...

or when I leave the hospital with a baby in my arms.

Either way I am tired, forgetful, and already in maternity clothes, HELLO?!

More pictures of Davis

December 1st 2008- ready to have a baby.

Look at our cute little man.
Davis after his first bath.

Hallie and Megan were in heaven with the new baby. Megan couldn't kiss him enough and Hallie was very concerned that we hadn't picked a name yet. She spent quite awhile suggesting names and having us vote by raise of hands. She was relieved when we finally agreed on Davis.
We have no pictures of Campbell but he kissed the baby on the head and then he was on to bigger and more dangerous things (like all the fun electrical outlets in the hospital room).

Davis with his sweet aunt Julie. Today Davis is a little glow worm with his bilirubin blanket on since he was a little jaundiced.

He's HERE!

Davis Mack was born this morning at 2:38am. He weighs 8lbs 1oz and is 20inches tall. Labor went well... except for the extreme pain that is!
So happy he is finally here! Thanks for all of the words of encouragement and kindness especially during those last miserable weeks. I am so blessed to have you in my life!
Welcome baby Davis!
(Sorry, I have a camera but no cord to plug it in and download the pictures of our sweet new baby. This picture was taken from Trev's phone but I will post more pictures soon... until then you'll have to just trust me... he is so handsome.)

Warning: emotionally unstable

Well, I'm officially over-due and unless something dramatic happens I will be at church tomorrow... I will be the huge lady in the back... and if you say to me "You are STILL pregnant?!?!" or "You look like you are going to POP!" I might cry... but I will still love you.

Yep, still pregnant

So happy for my friend and for my other friend... lucky ducks!

Melissa and I are both still prego... she is being induced tomorrow... I'm not.

I'm pretty sure he's changed his mind and isn't coming out after all. Meanwhile I am enjoying my sister-in-law, decorating my house for Christmas, and crafting.

Trying to stay positive and be grateful.

Hoping for Thanksgiving dinner in the hospital... mmmmm.

Surely he will be here soon... surely.

A letter from Heaven

We got this letter in the mail on Sunday.

Surprised? So were we!!! (okay, not about the letter, I'll be honest, the letter wasn't actually from heaven).
-
After thinking I was coming down with the stomach flu for 4+ days it finally occurred to me that I could be pregnant and sure enough I was like 7 weeks along! I'm about 10 weeks now and due in November.
-
I'm still adjusting to the idea but I feel this is the Lord's timing and I believe He knows best so ready or not!
-
-
The coolest part is my sister is pregnant with her first and due the day after me! How fun to go through pregnancy together and have cousins so close in age.
