Campbell turns 4!

Campbell turned 4 on Feb. 13th 2011. He quickly ate breakfast then opened his presents from family.

Then found his big surprise from us in the family room...

Campbell is such a fun kid! He is full of enthusiasm and "fun ideas".

He is OFTEN saying "That is going to be SO FUN!"

Campbell loves to have fun.

He is a great big brother to Davis and loves to torment his big sisters (what are little brother for?!). Campbell goes through funny stages with clothes. Right now he loves to wear hats and even sleeps in his dad's hat. Last summer he had to wear a hoodie at all times, even in 100 degree weather. Campbell loves to wrestle and a few months ago he was getting really rough with his "wrestling" and "hugging" so we had a talk with him and now he gives the softest, sweetest hugs. We love to get hugs from Campbell and we get lots of them!

Craft room.

Kathryn and I have been working on a craft room. Here is the woman in action.  You give her a saw and scrap of wood and she can't be stopped.

Jeepin'

I always wanted one of these. The weight limit is 130. I guess I am almost double that, so I won't try, but is hard to keep Kathryn from climbing in. She doesn't know it, but she would love driving a jeep every once in a while if I had the kids with me and it wasn't raining etc. Anyway, so far it had been pretty fun. There is a dirt area behind the house where they get to do some real jeepin'.

I was trying to get Campbell away from the girls and so I asked him to come downstairs with me so "I could have a friend". He smiled and walked right up to me and asked, "Mom, you need a honey with you?"
Yep Cam, come be my honey... honey. ;)

Christmas 2010 in Utah

We made the drive down from Washington to visit our family in Utah for Christmas. We had a great time. Here are some pictures from the trip (in random order)...

10- Trevor finished residency!

9- He got a job offer in Kennewick, WA

8-We sold our home in Kentucky. (It was so hard to say good-bye.)

7- Campbell was potty trained

6- Hallie started piano lessons and is thriving.

5- Megan is in an art class and loving it

4- Davis walks and talks and just keeps growing

3-Kathryn is busy with a new calling and the regular tasks and joys of motherhood.

Turning the Principal into an ice cream sundae

Hallie and Meg's school had a fundraiser where the kids made money for the school by running laps. Since the school reached their $$$ goal the 2 kids in every class that ran the most laps got to "turn the principal into and ice cream sundae". Hallie got to go for her class."On his head!!" all the kids were chanting.
I remember doing this kind of stuff when I was a kid.
Why is it so fun to torture your principal?!

Davis turns 2!

Our little Davis turned 2 yesterday. I cannot say enough about this little boy.

He is such a joy in our family.

We call him our "lil' lover" because that is just what he is. He just loves everybody.

Davis is so laid back and easy going. He is pretty much always happy and content.

He is talking more and more. Sometimes I can't tell from the other room if it is him or Campbell talking. He loves to follow his big brother around and copy him.

Can't believe he is 2 now. It is so fun to watch him grow and learn everyday.

Thanksgiving 2010

What a wonderful Thanksgiving we had! Most of Trevor's family (we missed you Leslie and Ty) drove up on the icy/ snowy roads from Utah to Washington. We were so happy they got here safe and sound.

The girls were in heaven. Sleepovers with cousins every night! They stayed up way too late and would set the alarm to wake them up in the middle of the night to have "midnight parties".

We spent a lot of time making and eating yummy food. It was Thanksgiving after all!

Kim was the balloon queen. She shaped swords, poodles, viking hats, and so much more out of balloons. Great entertainment!!

One of the days we drove out to some "windmills" by our house. It was awesome to get right under them. The picture doesn't do it justice. It was HUGE.

We had to do some four-wheeling to get there and we pulled a guy out who was stuck on the way home... Trevor was in heaven.

Davis slept some more. Ate and slept. Ate and slept.

The girls made our traditional chocolate mint covered Ritz crackers.

Trevor put his new 4-wheeler to use and pulled the sled around behind our house. The kids had a ball. I even went for a ride.

They would come back frozen so we enjoyed a lot of hot cocoa.

Jerry brought his projector and it was so fun to watch movies on the wall. Better than the theatre!

The girls were creating new "plays" everyday. Even Megan acted them out (go Meg!).

I will never forget this Thanksgiving. I truly felt love filling our home as we enjoyed just being together. I'm so grateful that our loved ones made the long drive to be with us. It meant so much. We miss you already!
