I took Hallie to the Pediatrician today to get a flu shot. She was not happy about it! She got a Winnie the Pooh sticker and when we got home she put the sticker on a piece of paper and wrote this...
-My sticker with Pooh Bear and the Heffalump
I got this sticker at the doctors office and I got a sucker and we went to DQ to get a ice cream and I think that sticker was the only sticker like that there and I loved that sticker so much and for a second I couldn't get it and then I got it and I got the flu shot and she counted to five and I screamed and cried and it didn't hurt very much.
It was a traumatic experience for all of us which is interesting since apparently "it didn't hurt very much." ;)

Hallie,
You have such good hand writing and you are such a good speller! I'm so glad that you are got a sucker and a sticker and an ice cream after you had your flu shot. I miss you!!
I love you!
Melissa
Way to go Hallie! I remember when I was your age having to have shots and being so scared. I remember having to stand in line with all the other children to get our shots and sometimes we had to get several shots. We didn't have our mothers there to hold our hands and it was really scarry. I love your story and your sticker you'r have to keep that in a scrap book.
I could actually read Hallie's handwriting. That is GREAT! Half the time I can't read Nathan's writing and he's almost nine!!
I'm sorry you had to get a shot Hallie. Nathan and Marshall also had to get a flu shot and they both cried too. I think the worst part is waiting for the shot. Once it's done it you realize it wasn't that bad after all. We miss you all!
