Still playing catch-up...
We spent most of July in Utah visiting family.
We started with the Law side and joined in on the West Bountiful Parade and West Point fireworks.
It was so fun to see old friends from West Bountiful. We have so many happy memories of living there.
We had a terrifying experience at the West Point Park when we realized Davis was missing. There were hundreds of people everywhere and not a sign of Davis. We scattered and searched and were just about to have the DJ make an announcement when we found him standing in the food line turning in circles and searching for us. I have never been so relieved!
We spent the next few days partying with family at Hollywood Connection and Seven Peaks, playing games, and just hanging out together (which is always my favorite part). So fun!
Thanks Melissa for planning it all!!
It turned out our dear friends from Kentucky, the Theiss family, were also visiting Utah so we met up at a park in Bountiful for a picnic. We sooooo love them.
Then we were off for some fun in the sun with the Grubbs in Lake Powell.
I think the boys might have enjoyed the mud this year as much as they did the water!
Carson and his fan club.
Campbell found a bottle in the Lake with a treasure map in it. The map led us to GOLD. The only trick was we had to pan for the gold. It was so fun!
The kids took their gold to the "trading post" and traded it for treats and candy. Thanks to Bill and everyone who helped create such a fun experience.
Lake Powell has become such a sweet tradition for our family and we are so grateful for the time, energy, and money that is invested for our families to come together and strengthen bonds and create new memories.
Our gnome was not forgotten this time. :)
We made it home from Utah just in time to start swim lessons, sewing classes, babysitting training (Hallie), and celebrate Megan's 9th birthday!
Megan loves Pandas and so we made a panda cake. Meg and Hallie had so much fun decorating and they did a fabulous job!
Then there was the crazy girl party with lots of giggling and screaming and silliness. :)
So grateful for the person Megan is and is becoming. She is a smart, beautiful, kind, courageous, and FUN young lady. She cracks us up daily and brings so many smiles to our family. Love ya Miss Meg!
