I'm not meant for the stage

I haven't been good to update this blog like I used to.

I have to be honest, lately our blog feels more like a stage than a journal. I don't like that- so I've decided I need to use it more as a journal again (as it was intended) and sorry if you are bored or think it is too personal.

You can skip those posts if you want ;0.

I really want this blog to reflect our lives with ups and downs and the beauty and sometimes not-so-pretty reality that it is.

So here we go... again.

Creativity Blog

Okay, I started this blog awhile ago and I told my sister and a few friends about it so we could share ideas and show each other what projects we are doing.

Anyway, I think I'm ready to tell others about it but just be warned that it is nothing special, just a bunch of "stuff" I like to do.

Learned a new blogging trick worth sharing

I wanted to learn how to "sign" my posts and found out how you can do it and have your "signature" automatically added to your posts. Just check out this great tutorial!

I didn't use the "mylivesignature" (although, I've tried it and it is really cool!) I just wanted to create my own whimsical signature which I did on photoshop and then uploaded it to photobucket and followed the rest of the tutorial.

Just thought I'd share.

Our Family Blog is 1 year-old

A little over a year ago a friend told me I should start a blog. My response... "A What?" Now everybody is blogging which is fun but more than anything I treasure this blog as a record of our lives... as average and mundane as they may be.

Time to switch it up

If you know me at all then you are shocked that I left this header and background on as long as I did.
What can I say, I've been busy. But, it's time for a change and since in a few months it will no longer be "the five of us" I thought I'd change the title while I'm at it.

Together... it's our favorite place to be

That fits our family perfectly... at least most of the time ;)

Everybodies doing it

Hallie and Megan want in on the fun and now have their own blogs.
It's been fun so far, they can write their own posts and post their artwork etc.

Hey, thanks everybody for your thoughts on my previous post.

I just want to be blog smart, after all, I share a lot about the people I love most on this blog and I don't want to open our lives to people who would do us harm.

It also doesn't help that Trevor makes a lot of addicts mad when he won't give them drugs in the ER and we don't want those guys looking us up.

So for now, I'm going to try to at least get my last name out of the blogging world. If you have my last name on your link list will you please change it to "Kathryn" or "Kathryn and Trevor" or "my crazy friend"... whatever you like as long as is it doesn't have the "G" word in it ;). Thanks for your help!!!


BTW- you will notice on my link list I had to change the Planet sites to take out last names. Go to "Planet G" for Trevor's fam and “Planet L” for my fam.

Going Private

I'm thinking about making my blog private. I'm not sure yet...

Good-bye PINK, Hello GREEN!

Okay, let's be honest, our blog was drowning in pepto bismal. And pink isn't even my favorite color! What was I thinking? It is time for a change (and since I like change it will probably be time for another change in another 3 months:)). Green is the new pink! Hope this color doesn't give you a headache but if it does just check back in a few months, I'm thinking RED!
